02 / The Hold promise

A request.
A record.
Your call.

A hold gives you time to decide, if the dealer agrees. It never commits you to buying.

  1. Nothing is final until you sign at the dealer.
  2. Every number comes from the dealer, with a name and a timestamp on it.
  3. Nothing is charged by Myndauto, ever.
  4. If the car leaves the dealer's site during a hold, you hear about it.
  5. Hold any day; ND dealers can't sell on Sundays. NDCC 39-22-07.1

You can follow the record.

These are the steps, not a promise that a dealer will accept a hold. A request moves forward only when the next step is confirmed.

A dealer's written quote should name every charge. Here is what a record can look like.

We connect you.

Myndauto never sells vehicles, brokers deals, takes payments or deposits, holds titles, or takes a cut of a sale.

North Dakota's rules on arranging vehicle sales apply to dealers and other legally exempt parties. Myndauto is an index and a connector, not a motor vehicle broker.

Does asking reserve the car?

No. An ask goes to the Myndauto team in Minot. A person contacts the dealer. A hold is a separate request, and only the dealer can confirm it.

Does a hold cost anything?

Myndauto takes no card, payment or deposit. We ask for a 48-hour hold, but the dealer decides whether to grant it. Nothing is final until you sign at the dealer.

Who sees my request?

The Myndauto team receives your name, contact details and request, then contacts the dealer for you. We share the details needed to follow up on that request.

Who sets the out-the-door price?

The dealer does. We ask them to put the vehicle price, fees, taxes and registration costs in writing, with a name and timestamp. An advertised price alone is not an out-the-door quote.

What if the car disappears?

If it leaves the dealer site during a hold, we let you know and ask the dealer what changed. A missing listing is not proof of a sale.

Can I send a request on Sunday?

Yes. You can ask or request a hold any day. North Dakota dealers cannot sell vehicles on Sundays under NDCC 39-22-07.1.

Can I contact the dealer directly?

Always. The listing links to the dealer. Myndauto is optional, and the dealer remains your seller either way.

How does Myndauto make money?

Dealer placement subscriptions are the business model. Search and buyer requests are free. There are no per-sale fees or commissions, and we never take a cut of a vehicle sale.
